1-Why should I register at recipmanager?
A-By becoming a registered
member you can utilize our different services like Link Exchange (includes one-way, two-way), article exchange and many more…By making use of
these service you can easily increase the page rank of your website and can increase
your current business profit immensely .
2-What is the registration process? Is
there any fee for it?
A-You just have to fill in a simple registration form. You
will immediately receive an account activation email on your email id (you have
to provide email id while filling in the form). You'll just have to click the "Click
here to unlock your account” link and that’s it. You are ready to use your recipmanager.

But I can’t find any activation email from your site in my inbox?
A- Check your
"Junk mail" or "Spam" folder. Because most of email service providers treat such
activation mails as Junk or spam. That’s why you will find activation email in "Junk
mail" or "Spam" folder.
4-What is the site Url field in the registration form?
A-
In this field you have to provide the url of your website like (http://www.yourwebiste.com).
This website will be used for link exchange and article exchange etc. You can add
more of your websites after becoming a registered member.
5-Are there any special
instructions for the filling in the registration form?
A- No special instructions.
Just make sure that you provide the correct url of your site and you register it
to a category in "Register Site to" field.
6-Do you offer any special membership
services?
A- After registration, you can upgrade your account to the "Featured Account",
which will help you make your website/s as "Featured Website/s". Featured websites
are listed at the beginning of their selected category, and also on the homepage.
Featured websites receive much more link exchange requests than non featured websites.
Five featured websites are displayed at a time. Each featured website is evenly
rotated so that it receives maximum exposure. You can also upgrade to “Advanced
Membership” which is another exciting feature. Advanced members don’t need to manually
place the link at their website instead the link exchange process gets "automated".
You will just have to follow some simple step-wise instructions to configure your
website database and rest of your link exchanging process will get automated.
7-How
many websites I can register?
A- Unlimited, you can register any number of your
websites.
8-What are the Featured Websites?
A- Featured websites are listed at the beginning of their selected category,
and also on the homepage. Featured websites receive much more link exchange requests
than non featured websites. Five featured websites are displayed at a time. Each
featured website is evenly rotated so that it receives maximum exposure.
9-How Can I make my website "Featured"?
A- In order
to upgrade your website to the "Featured Website" click the "Featured account" link
in the Member's area. You will have to pay a nominal fee for upgrade of your website
and your website will be included in the "Featured websites".
10-How I can edit
my profile and change my password?
A- You can find "Edit Profile" and "Change Password"
options at the homepage.
11-How I can communicate with the other members of the
website?
A- You can communicate with other users and website owners via private
messages. When you login the website, you will see private messages link in the
Member's Menu. Private message link is also available in the upper left panel just
below the "Edit Profile".
12-How can I know if there are any private messages for
me?
A- When there is a private message for you; it will be shown in the private
messages link. For example "Private Messages (1)" means that there is one private
message for you.
13-How can I reply a private message?
A-When you click the "Private
Messages" link; you will be redirected to "Private Messages" page. From there you
can reply to a private message. You can also delete a private message from that
page.
Articles
1- How can I add an article in the website?
A- You can add an article
by clicking the plus sign (+) against "My Articles" link in the Member's Menu. You
can also add an article in "Manage my websites/Articles" section.
2- How can I exchange articles with others?
A-You can exchange articles with others by clicking the "Request
Article Exchange" link which you can see in front of the article. You will have
to select your website through which you want to exchange the article then you will
have to fill in a simple "Article Exchange Request" form. In the last field of this
form you will have to provide the location where you will add the article and that’s
it.
3-If I want to report an article to the web administrator how can I do that?
A-Just click the "Report this article link". You will be asked to give a proper
reason for reporting the article and then web administrator will be informed about
the reported article so that he can take proper decision about it.
4-Can I Edit/Delete
my articles?
A- Yes, you can edit/delete/hide and unhide your articles according
to your liking. When you hide an article, it will not be listed in the directory
neither it will be displayed in the Searched articles results.
5-How I will know
that someone wants to exchange his articles with mine?
A- You will know about the
article exchange requests by the "Article Exchanges" link which is provided in the
Member's Menu. Whenever there is an article exchange request, it will be shown in
that link like "Article Exchanges (1)" which means that there is one article exchange
request waiting for your approval.
Contact/Support
1-If I want some specific information
about your website how I can get that?
A- You can ask any query about our website
or services. Just go to the "Contact Us" section. You will just have to fill in
a simple form in which you need to give your name, email, contact medium (email
or phone) and description of your question. We will try to respond to your request
at earliest.
2-How I can know about different features and services of the website?
A- You can use the "FAQ" section to find an answer to your question. If you feel
that your question has not been listed in the FAQ's then you can contact us by filling
in a simple form which is provided in the "Contact Us" section.
Directory Listing
1-What is directory listing?
A- "Directory Listing" contains all the websites which
have been registered at recipmanager. The directory contains the different
categories of the registered websites. There are about 207 different categories
and each category may contain any number of the websites.
2-How can I search a website
of my interest from the directory?
A- You can search for your desired website from
the directory by entering the key word or phrase about the website you are looking
for. For example, if you are interested to find a website of computers from the
directory, just enter "computer" in the search field and click the search button.
There is a good chance that you will find what you were searching for.
3- Can I
order my searched results?
A- Yes, you can order the searched websites by Votes,
PR (Page Rank), Date joined and Articles containing websites. You can select the
required filter from the dropdown list which is provided just before the "Search"
field.
Managing Your Websites
1-How can I manage my registered websites at recipmanager?
A-You can go to "Manage my websites/Articles" section by clicking the "My Websites"
link in the "Member's Menu" of the home page. In this section you will find different
options for managing your websites. You can add a new website, edit your already
registered websites, update the PR of your website and perform other tasks as well.
2-Can I change the URL of my website?
A- You can edit the URL of your website using
the "Edit" option at the "Manage my Websites/Articles" section. You can also change
the title and description of your website in the edit section.
3-What is the Link-filter
option in manage websites section?
A- When you click the Link-Filter you will be
redirected to the "Set Link Request Filter" page. The link filter option is there
for filtering the link requests for your website. If you want link requests from
the websites of all categories, you can simply check the "Select All" checkbox at
the "Set Link Request Filter” page. If you want link requests from the websites
of specific categories you can set it in this page. For example, if you want link
requests only from computer websites. You will have to uncheck all the checkboxes
except the "Computers" checkbox at "Set Link Request Filter" page. You can further
filter the link requests by selecting your desired sub-categories (and un-checking
all the irrelevant ones) in this section. Make sure that you press the "Save Filter"
button to save your filter changes after you are done.
4-Is there any option for
updating the page rank of my website?
A-You can update the page rank of your registered websites by clicking
the Update-PR link. You will find Update-PR link in the "Manage My websites/Articles"
section.
5-How can I get the "Vote For My Site" banner code?
A-You can get the "Vote For My Site" banner code from Manage my websites/Articles
section. Click the "Linking code" link and you will see the voting banner code,
copy that code and paste it where you like to make the visitors vote for your website.
Five most voted websites are displayed on the homepage of
recipmanager
.
6-Can
I hide my website from others?
A- Yes, you can hide your website by clicking the
"Hide" option which is available against every website in the "Manage my websites/articles"
section. The hidden websites are not visible to the visitors. These websites are
not included in the Directory listing as well. It means that no one can exchange
links with the hidden websites.
7-How can I unhide my hidden websites?
A- You can
un-hide your hidden websites by clicking the "Unhide" link which is provided against
the hidden websites. The websites will be included in the directory listing again
and will be made visible to the visitors.
8- I see "Unavailable" with some sites
what does that mean?
A- It means that these sites haven't been configured properly
for "Advanced settings". The owner of the site has not completed the "Advanced Settings"
steps so links cannot be exchanged with "Unavailable" websites.
Link Exchanging
1-What benefits I'll get by exchanging my website link with others?
A- By exchanging
your website link with others you will do your business a lot of good. Link exchange
will increase the page rank of your website. Increased page rank means that more
people will be redirected to your website from the search engines and you will get
much more traffic. And all these things will correspond to huge expansion in your
business and profit.
2-What are different available options for link exchange?
A-
There are two different options for link exchange. One-way link exchange, two-way
link exchange.
3-How can I find about the links which
I have rejected and the links which are waiting approval from the reciprocal?
A-
You can find rejected links, pending links completed links ,links which are waiting
for the approval of the reciprocal etc. in the "Link Exchange Monitor" section.
Click the "Link Exchanges" icon in the Member's Menu and you will be redirected
to "Link Exchange Monitor" section. Using the "Link Status" dropdown list you can
select the type of link (e.g. All links, Pending Links, Links awaiting your approval,
Rejected Links etc.) and from Select Site dropdown list you will have to select
the website against which you want to see the links. The selected links will be
displayed with all the details.
Two-way Link Exchange
1- What is two-way link exchange?
A- Two-way link exchange means that you place the link of a registered website at
some place in your website and the reciprocal person (the person with whom you are
exchanging your link) places the link of your website at his website.
2-How can I use two-way linking to exchange my link with others?
A- You will find a "Request
link exchange" link with every website. Click that link and you will have to follow
two or three simple steps to complete your two-way link exchange request. In the
first step you'll have to select your website which you want to use in link exchange
process. In the second step, you'll have to provide url where the reciprocal's link
will be placed (your website url would be already there by default, if you want
to change it you can do that). All other fields on the form would be filled already.
You just need to press the "Request link exchange" button and you will be done.
Your link exchange request will be forwarded to the reciprocal website owner for
approval.
3-What are the "Suggested Link Title" and "Suggested Link Description"
fields?
A- The "Suggested link title" and "Suggested link description" fields show
that how the reciprocal link will be displayed on your website i.e. What would be
the title and description of the reciprocal link.
4-How will I know that there is
link exchange request waiting for my approval?
A- You will be notified about the
link exchange request by "Link Exchanges" icon. This icon is located in the Member's
Menu on the home page. Whenever there will be a link exchange request for you, it
will be shown in the "Link Exchanges". For instance "Link Exchanges(1)" means that
there is one link exchange request waiting for your approval. When you click it
you will find the all the details of link exchange request. You can also see the
page where your reciprocal link exchanger has placed your link. After examining
all the details you can approve or reject the link exchange request.
5-What would
I have to do to place the reciprocal's link at my website?
A- When you click to
approve the reciprocal link, you will be redirected to the page where you will see
all the details about the link exchange. You will have to give the url of your website
where you have put the link of your reciprocal's site. You will just have to copy
the given sample code and paste it at your page where you want to put the reciprocal's
link.
6-When I want to request link exchange with a website I get a message "The
website you selected doesn’t offer a link exchange with your site's category Directory>Recreation>Autos".
What does this message mean?
A- This means that the website with which you are trying
to exchange your link doesn’t allow the link exchanges with the websites of "Recreation>Autos"
category and your website is probably listed in the Recreation>Autos category. That's
why you can’t exchange link with this website.
7-How can I approve number of link
exchange requests simultaneously?
A- In the "Link Exchanges" section, there is an
option for "Batch Approve". You can approve number of link exchange requests using
"Batch Approve". When you click the "Batch Approve" Button, you will be asked to
select a website for which you want to approve "Batch" of link exchange requests.
When you select the website, your batch request will be approved.
Advanced Site
Setup
1-From where I can find help about the "Advanced Website" management?
A- When
you activate your "Advanced Membership" account, you will receive an email about
the approval of your "Advanced Membership" . You will find complete detail about
the "Advanced Site setup" in that email. The email also contains links to "Help"
and "Contact Us" sections so that you can seek help to solve your problem.
2-What would I have to do to make my website an "Advanced Website"?
A- Click the "Advanced
Site Setup" in the Advanced Menu. You will have to follow the "Advance Site setup
" wizard. In the first step, you will have to select the website which you want
to make an advanced website. In the second step, you will have to download an advanced
script zip file called "Script.zip". The zip file contains a folder called "links".
All the details and instructions about the installation of "Links" folder have been
given on the same page. When you will be done with the upload of "links" folder
on your server, you will have to provide the path of uploaded files. After providing
the path, click "Next" button to go to the next step. In the next step you will
be instructed to configure your database. This "Database Configuration" step will
guide you in configuring your database. Your "MySql Server", "MySql Database" and
username/passwords would be listed on this page . All you need is to fill the database
by clicking the "Fill Databases " button. All your databases will be filled in the
dropdown list. You can also give the name of your database if you don’t want to
use "Fill Databases" button. After selecting your database, press "Next" button
and your "Advanced Website Configuration" will be completed.
3-How Can I link my website database for "Advanced Website"?
A- "Link Database" option is available
in the "Advanced Menu". Click the "Link Database" link to go to the "Advanced Site
Database Configuration" page. You will have to select the website that’s database
you want to link. When you will select the website, your MySql Server information
(MySql Server name, username and password) will be filled in the form. You will
have to provide MySql database by pressing the "Fill Databases" button. OR you can
also type the name your database. When you are done with the database selection,
you will have to select one of three available database modes. If you are not sure,
which mode to select then don’t change the default mode selection. After selecting
the mode click next to complete your configuration.
4-Can I change the different options for my "Advanced Website"?
A- You can change different settings like Request
link url, Request link title, link description, links per page, links order and
other different settings for the Advanced website using the "Link File settings"
option. This option is available in the Advanced Menu.
5-How can I manage the categories of my Advanced Websites?
A- "Manage Categories/preview" option is available in the
Advanced Menu. In the "Manage Categories/preview" section, you can add sub-directories,
edit categories, add new links etc. You can also regenerate and preview HTML in
this section. The links which will be approved for your advanced website will be
added in the categories. You can select the category in which you want to place
the links.
6-Is there any option for managing links for my advanced websites?
A-
You can easily manage your links in "Manage Links" section of the Advanced Menu.
In the "Manage links" section you can view links from different categories, you
can also view the links of different status (pending links, exchanged links, hidden
links and shown links etc.). There are also options for "Check back link" and "Add
new link". You can also hide, unhide and delete links. One-way links can also be
managed from this section. You can also add a link by clicking the (+) sign against
manage section.
One-Way Linking
1-What is One-way linking (OWL)?
A- One-way linking
means that you request a website to place your link at their website (Provided that
website allows one-way linking) . You don’t place a link of your reciprocal website
at your website in one-way linking.
2-How can I configure my website to allow one-way
link requests?
A- You can configure your website to allow one-way link requests
as follow. Click the "My Websites" in Member's Menu. You will be redirected to the
page where all your websites will be listed. Click the "Edit" link for the website
which you want to edit for one-way linking. You will be redirected to the "Edit
Website" page. You will see one-way linking options at the lower section of the
page. You can select the one-way linking options according to your desire. You will
also have to select link price for your home page and 1 click away from home page.
You can also add the description about your one-way linking. For example "Links
allowed only from books websites".
3-What does "1 click away from home page" mean?
A- "1 click away from home page" means that you will place the link of your reciprocal
website at a page of your website which is one-click away from home page. i.e. that
page can be reached by clicking just one link from your home page.
4- What price
can I set for home page and 1-click away from page?
A- You can set any value ranging
from 1 to 5000 USD for home page and one-click away from home page. But the "home
page" price must be equal or greater than "1-click away from home page" price.
5-How
Can I place a request for One-way link on another site?
A- You will see "Request
OWL" with the websites which allow one-way linking. You can also see OWL prices
for these websites. In order to place OWL request you have to click the "Request
OWL" link. You will have to select your website (the link of which you want to place
at the other website). Then you will have to select whether you want to place your
link at home page or 1-click away from home page. You can also give some additional
information in the provided text area. When you are done with all this, you will
have to press "Request Link Exchange" button to complete your OWL exchange request.
Miscellaneous
1-From where I can get the credits required for the activation of Advanced and Featured Membership?
A- You can buy credits by clicking the "Get recipmanager credits" link in Member's menu. You will be guided to follow some simple steps to buy your required credits.
2-What should I do if I forget my password?
A- Don’t worry. Just click “Forgot password”, you will be asked to give your user name and your password will be immediately sent to your email address.
